“For Fun” Shoots Are Officially My Favorite Shoots

So I did a half “for fun “shoot and a half “for homework” shoot and it was so much fun. Can I just say that I am so grateful for friends who like to be my models and allow me to be the weird creative person that I am? The best part of taking pictures of your friends is that they don’t get mad at you when you can’t figure out your camera settings and when you make them pose a million different ways. They definitely make my life easier and I can’t thank them enough for that. I sincerely want to become a better photographer so I know that I need to practice a lot. Before I went on my excursion, I hated picking up my camera and I was afraid of it. I know it sounds weird but I would be afraid of not using the right camera settings or not following the rule of thirds or something irrational like that. I would literally freak myself out over nothing but after the excursion and after a nice chat with Sister Esplin (my inspiration) I realized that I do know how to work my camera and I do know how to take a decent picture. I’m at the point now where I want to just have fun and do random shoots. I guess I’m just trying to find my style, I have an idea of what it is but I’m definitely still figuring it out.
